need ir codes for ur74a 5 in one remote
« on: July 24, 2009, 05:12:08 PM »

does anyone know how the house code ir codes are sent
working on a project to control all my lights in my house using a robot design, only thing i need is ir codes for different house codes,i have unit codes,on/off and dim codes
so i am thinking of getting 5 in one remote and use it to get my codes i need to learn in my software
i know i need IR543 IR COMMAND CENTER for each house code and use a IR repepeater system like i have for my stereo/tv system,i have my robot design to turn and off my stereo/tv componets no problem and if i set all modules on house code a  , it works, does ur74 send a seperate ir code for house and one for unit and one for fuction code or just one code, also my robot is a voice controled design

..... my robot is a voice controled design

There are many ways to remove a feline's fur covering. I use BVC (Bill's Voice Commander) for control of X10 items. For a robot you could just send RF (using BVC) via a CM19A (it's USB powered). Of course BVC also can send IR (which is always handy).

But if your determined to send IR to the IR543 you can get the X10 IR codes off most good quality Home Theater Remote (listed under lighting control).

I've done a few things with X10, BVC, and even a robot. Check out my YouTube Channel.

The UR74 can send on one settable House Code and all 16 Unit Codes. By default it is House Code A and RF X10 signals. I believe you can change that to IR X10 codes. It can send On; Off; Dim; Bright; All Units Off and All Lights On to the addressed module.
At one time a third party was selling a modified IR543 that did all 16 House Codes and cost much more than a single House Code standard module.

i know about cm19a firecracker, there are many problems with that
on the robot project it lot more ,one it is AI DESIGN using lispworks
we are using USB-UIRT MODULE to send and receive IR codes
robot project is LEAF
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/leaf_an_AI_robot/
there is so many things it does, from turning off and on x10,tv,stereo,recognizing voices and faces to tell jokes and access to the internet news or weather, all by voice
also with USB-UIRT module i control my stereo and tv ,by IR repeater system
i found 16 unit codes, and looking for all 16 house codes
there is another idea buts its slow, ahcmd.exe command, since the robot has WIFI and whats called robochat to talk to other LEAF robots or computers
inventer of BVC does talk about using USB-UIRT and i seen his website before
saw your youtube, looks good ,kinda very close to mine, except for voice command,
i do have very large home theater system,so far using sony rm3000 remote is where i got 16 unit codes and others, since my robot has its own voice control ,BVC WONT WORK FOR IT,but BVC CAN WORK FOR MY HOME DESIGN MAYBE
