Flash Memory for CM15A... Get rid of batteries.
« on: September 23, 2009, 02:33:02 AM »

Hey X-10, don't you think it's about time we did away with the batteries for memory backup?
The rest of the world is using flash, can you explore the simplicity to modify the CM15A?
Sure would be nice !

Batteries are for the internal clock so it remembers the time if there is a power failure.

Isn't some power required to execute macros and such also?

Not really.  Since macros mainly control X10 devices that can't operate if the power is off.  ;)

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!
