Hello

I got some wall switches (WS467) and (WS4777)
I put these switches in my kitchen 2 of them 1 for the small hallway and the WS4777 for the big hallway 1 in the bathroom and 1 for my front porch light.

The problem is 1 kitchen light works the big hallway and bathroom and front porch light work with no problems.
The second kithchen and small hallway light does not work via AHP or remote but do work manually. I have determined that these to lights are on the same circuit as my office. I have been able to unplug my computers to get them to work also I plugged in the CM15A into a plug in the office and the two light would work even with the computers plugged in but the other lights would not work. I have also tried to unplug the power strips and just plug in one computer and it still does not work what could I do to help solve this problem

Thanks

Alan

Search forum for "noise" and "phase coupling". You could put filters on the computer, or spring for a repeater.

Ok so that does indicate a noise problem then. I didnt relize that a computer could do that im still learning i guess also what does a repeater do and is it something i should get even if the filters fix the problem.

I ordered some XPPF Plug In Filters hopefully that will help.

Well filters will take care of noise, but there are so many sources of noise now days. CFL bulbs, switching power supplies which are now everywhere as they become cheaper than transformer supplies to produce. Each noise source requires a filter. My solution which has worked for me in four different homes, is to invest in a blowtorch repeater (not the X10/Leviton units).

A 10 volt X10 signal pretty much blasts through most noise. Where the repeater signal can't over come the noise, then go to a filter on that source.
Your mileage may vary, but there are numorus "happy endings" recorded on this forum, after the installation of a repeater.

do you have any links for the blowtorch repeater

I have an XTB-IIR and it works very well.

X10Pro and Leviton also make X10 Signal repeaters.

Brians links are the ones I would have given. I also like ACT 234 which has higher output than the X10/Leviton units. But the XTBIIR has even higher output. I believe Brian has both ACT 134 and XTBIIR and I believe he has said he prefers the XTBIIR. From output strength standpoint there is no difference between ACT 134 and 234.
