I currently have AHP with all plugins, version 3.228. When I go to update it tells me I have the latest version, yet I already know there's a more recent one since that, v.3.236. ;it messed up my system so I downgraded to 3.228.

Has there been an update since v3.236? Were the bugs with 3.236 fixed?

Nope.  3.228 is the last good version of AHP.   A very few people have upgraded to 3.236 with no problems, but many have had to backdate to 3.204, then to 3.228 because of problems (macros and timers not working, for example, with 3.236) .

There is no version beyond 3.326, as far as X10 USA is concerned.

Does the v3.228  work with the VA12 and XP?

I believe the VA12 will NOT work with 3.228.  Check the Forums for the exact reason, but I believe there are no drivers for it below AHP 3.236

I am unable to update from the AHP software.  I click on the Check for Update in the Help menu and nothing happens.  Any ideas to correct?

I just installed a new CM15A and the AHP software.  I followed advice from this forum and downloaded the version 3.204 but I cannot upgrade to the recommended old version.

I am using Vista.

I have other issues but I'll post them spearately.

Okay this is starting to worry me now.

I plan to place my order today for a number of items including AHP.

Is there now a new twist to updating 3.204 to 3.228?

This is the 2nd post I've seen recently that the Update from within AHP doesn't work.

It is the nerve center of HA and security system I plan to install, so I need to have some assurance that V 3.228 will install.

Would appreciate your help.

When you order request verrsion 3.228!
I know they have sent it to those that requested it!
If they'll do it at order time I don't know but it is worth a try!

I had to use the manual method as the update downloaded and then AHP closed to update. Then nothing.

I've been chatting with X10 staff and they are not able to help.   

They only know of the latest version.

When I click on the Check for Updates, absolutely nothing happens.  No pop ups or dialogue boxes.

When you went to 3.204 and ran it. Did a message appear that a update was available?
After you clicked on it. You may not see anything.
Shutdown AHP. Then look in the Temp folder.
The updater file maybe there and is quite small.
Run the updater if it is there.

In the other therad there was extra data on Vista. Vista is known to be very over protective and gets in the way many times.

I ordered online AHP along with all the plug-ins about an hour ago.  Got an email confirming the order but no email yet saying the order has gone through.  So, until then I guess I won't get the email with the registration info/instructions.

By the way, the file you mention that appears in the temp folder, could it be the same file in the online directory of all the updates?  The very first file on that directory is the same name (ahp_updt.exe) as what you say you got in your folder. 

Just wondering .... and waiting for my order to go through.

I don't know what version the ahp_updt.exe is. I kind of remember it being the one with all the plugins and 3.236.

Yes the registration email is separate. In my case I never got one and had to have Customer Service issue a replacement set. Since I am close to the East Coast X10 Warehouse. Mine arrived one day after it shipped, but that was not near the Christmas shipping frenzy.

It still works. I did it last night. I downloaded the update 3.204, installed it, and then ran the updater to get to 3.228. Had no issues at all.
