Need some help with sound
« on: October 31, 2009, 03:49:21 AM »

Hey everyone I'm new to the boards!!! I purchased AHP with the cm15a and a few sensors and other goodies and I am trying to set up a halloween scene. Right now I have a sensor that will cut off the front porch lights and turn on a glowing skull in the window by the door. I would like to add some good sound affects to the whole scene but I cant seem to find a way to hook this up? I was thinking about using a  tape player hooked to a am486 with the play button on but I figure there's got to be a better way. Yes I am a newbie and would love some help on this.  Thanks

TDM,

Search here for third party software (most is really cheap or free), such as x10WavPlayer, BVC, PC Companion, or X10Dispatcher.  All of these (and I'm sure a few others) will play .wav files as a response to an x10 command.  That's what we use at the Knightmare.

BTW,  always nice to find a kindred spirit hanging out at this forum.

Cheers.
