How to filter space heater
« on: November 15, 2009, 09:41:40 PM »

I recently purchased a small space heater that when plugged in (whether on or off) is interfering with many of my other X10 devices.  The manual for the heater says it draws 12 amps, so do I need an XPF for this, or will something else work?  If the XPF is the answer, I'd rather not filter the entire outlet, so could I wire it to an outlet in a in a box with a plug coming out of it and make it like a filtered extension cord?

The ACT AF120 is a 15 amp plug in filter. That may work for you.
