AHP Video Flickering
« on: March 20, 2012, 08:41:50 PM »

Hi I am having an issue with my AHP. IT was working fine until I stopped using it for a while due to having OS issues on my pc. I upgraded my pc with HDDs and OS7. Now I want to use my cameras again, but I am having flickering when I open the video from any camera. I have 3 cameras, 1 wide angle  and 2 regular. They switch ok but the flickering is very annoying. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same issue. I ordered a new video receiver same thing. I am wondering if it is the video converter is the culprit. What happens is, the filckering starts fast then it slows down, and then sometimes the video goes completely. As I restart the program it flickers again and once in a while it stops and shows the video ok, then some time later it starts flickering again.
The "techs" are telling me about my electronics in the vicinity of the receiver might be causing the problem, I differ because they were working fine with the same electronics as they were then and now without any additions.
So im asking for help to solve this issue.
THANKS

Do you have the older VA11A or the newer VA12A video interface?
The older VA11A does not work with Windows 7.

Open AHP, and look at the version number on the splash screen.
3.318 is the latest version.
3.316 had a bug with video flicker.

You might try 3.310 which seems to be the most stable of the series.

3.318 fixed the flickering problems.
The VA12 is not supported in 3.310
You may want to check the Software Update pages and see if any drivers where updated.

Do you have the VA12A or VA13A that used newer drivers as it had a different interface IC in it or so I am told.
