sr227 issue
« on: March 16, 2010, 09:45:08 PM »

This one has me stumped.  Have a sr227 that I can not get AHP (cm15a) to turn on of off, with out without anything plugged into the top controlled port.  Address assigned is F2.

Now if I plug a chime module into either the top or bottom outlet (address m14) I am able to make it chime from within AHP.  Obviously the signal is getting to the sr227.  It is possible that the device is bad, but I have another sr227 that I can't turn on/off either.  The 2nd sr227 though is connected to a sub panel so that one could very well be a signal issue.

Anyone have any idea's what else it could be?

Thanks

On a SR 227 the top outlet is controlled, the bottom outlet is a normal outlet.  AHP has a module for it, you have to set the address by the two code wheels between the 2 outlets.  Once established in AHP, it can have a timer attached to it.

Yes I know that.  Like I said, AHP sends the signal of on or off (can see it in the log) but the top outlet does not turn on or off.

I know how to setup AHP & modules.  AHP signal gets to the sr227 cause I can plug a chime module into the same device (top or bottom) and have it turn on or off via AHP.

Problem fixed!  It was the damn cfl lights in the same room sucking the signal.

Am I the only one that questions the logic of government subsidized programs to replace old fashioned mercury thermometers with modern electronic versions because the old thermometers contained mercury that might make its way into landfills, while they promote the use of CFL's that contain mercury and might also contaminate landfills?   ???   :'   B:(

Hi Bill,

Unfortunately, it's all about perception (however manipulated or contrived) and sound bites.

Whatever sells and whatever is fed to the public as gospel becomes the "right thing" at that moment.

Right now, political correctness and green/hybrid are the current "right things" to do.

.... Right now, political correctness and green/hybrid are the current "right things" to do.

I think it goes much deeper than that. The whole mankinds domination of the planet - global warning - scam... feeds on mans inherent flaw of self-worship. The twisted shape of the CFL is the contemporary version of the sign-of-the-fish.... or crucifix. Government mandated religions aren't new.... the environmental movement is a religious one... that has government backing. Environmentalism.... is by all definitions.. a religion.

Hi Dave,

Why do I get a sense from your post and other related threads that you feel strongly about this topic?

Just kidding.  :)

It's not just that Dave. Personally I would like to see Jones, Hanson, the IPCC, and Al "man made" Gore spend some quality "get aquainted" time in a cell.

Jones is on suicide watch... as I understand it. Prison is most certainly in his future.. and he knows it.

Al Gore... unfortunately is above the law. A level of power no American should be allowed to have. It is truly a shame we have digressed to this.

The US Postal Service is loosing money as more and more people stop mailing bill payments and pay their bills via the internet.  A bigger amount of mail in your box today is "junk mail".   :(

Well, the "official position" on that is that it only costs them a little extra to send out those notices and that since they started doing that, there has been a 26% increase on returned Census forms.  They figure that reduces their costs because for every unreturned form they have to send out a Census taker to your residence and that costs them about $56 a pop.

That's their story and they are sticking to it.   :P   :'   rofl
