According to the DS10A ( Door /Window sensor ) instructions if you leave battery out for 4 hours and then replace batteries it will stay assigned to the same slot as before.

Can the same be done with the DS10A Motion Sensor?

Sometimes 30 seconds seems to fly by and I do not relish the idea of having to clear the base unit and re-register all of the sensors.  Sure would be nice if they could be selected instead of just next available slot.

Clearer instructions would be nice also.

Example

If one leaves the batteries out for 4 hour or more ,then do you just replace the batteries or do you also have to register the unit?

Why is there no means to bypass Motion sensors on the main console?

No responces as yet.  OK  I verified that leaving the batteries out for  over 4 hours(mine took 4Hr, 50 min) enables you to code the door / window sensor to the same zone as it was. You do have to set console to  Install and Press the test button on the sensor.

Perhaps I should have asked / stated re-registering to the same zone as I have now learned that is really the case.

Still looking for answer for motion sensor. Does it behave the same.
