Working with RR501 transmitter & KR19A key fob

Hi all,

I'm still working on my light module problem, but also have another question.

Is it possible to use the KR19A keychain with the RR501 transmitter? The key fob says it must use a set house code with two consecutive unit codes, such as A1 and A2, or B1 and B2. It appears that, say, A1 and B9 or A6 and F7 can't be used, because the RR501 only supports unit code one or unit code nine, correct?

That effectively means that I can't use the second buttons on the key fob, because I can't configure the RR501 to use a house code with a unit code 2.

The RR501's internal relay can only be controlled on Unit Code 1 or 9 of the House Code it is set to.

It does tranceive all 16 unit codes on the house code it is set to. So you can control the RR501 internal relay with A1 as an example, but have a lamp module on A2 and it would also be controlled by the KR19A. If you had a lamp module also on A1 both the lamp module and the RR501 would respond to an on or off. The RR501 would ignore a dim or bright command.

If you reporgrammed the KR19 to lets say A3 and A4. You could then control devices on A3 and A4 through the RR501 and it would not toggle its internal relay.

If you had a HR12A Palm Pad that does all 16 units of one House Code. The RR501 would tranceive all 16 unit codes to varied devices in the home. That is what I have. An RR501 and HR12A.
