cm15a timer problem

Had a cm15 for a year now switching on lamp modules on timers, working relatively well for about a year apart from needing new battery and reset/reflash every 2 months.
Just installed an appliance module this weekend, ahp switches it on off no problem but left to work off timer after module download and nothing happens. It is a little further away on the ring main than the lamps but with it working through ahp I'm a little frustrated.
Any ideas?

We need more info, what version of AHP are you running?  If all other timers work properly except one, you probably have a noise problem.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

burnsey

sorry, latest one, 326 i think rings a bell, if i click on through ahp it works, just not when left to run on its own, and all others work fine. how do i eliminate noise then?
cheers

If the direct clicks in AHP will control the module in question. It may not be noise
Maybe a software problem.

Please double check the AHP version as 326 doesn't sound right. Maybe 3.236 or what many of us still use 3.228.
3.271 is the latest shipping that added a few things to support. Like the CM19A controller and the UX17A IR Commander.

3.267 just checked (uk marmitek)

OK. So you have a CM15Pro from Marmitek.
3.267 does sound like a recent version. I believe Marmitek now has a version 3.271 but we don't have much data on the European software differences.

Is the appliance module a AM12 or one of the Micro Module AW12?

You say AHP turns On and OFF the Appliance Module (manually) BUT you also note that the AM is a little further away than the lamp modules. So it begs the question, does AHP manually control the AM in the outlet that is farther away?

yes it does.... the pc and cm15 both plug into a gang with the usb permanently connected, there are LM's scattered about the house and a hawkeye. all work fine.
When i click on the AM manually through AHP it works, if i use my phone and click through autom8 (on my android phone connected via wifi) it works fine. but when i set a timer for the AM nothing works. ???

Since you have no problems with the module when controlled by different controller.
It does make me think software issues.
3.267 may have issues, but it is one of the versions we never had.
We do have our 3.271 version and it has been reported as a problem version.

Are there any Marmitek Forums where you may find added data?
I remember another UK user saying they had 3.267 problems and that your version 3.271 also had issues.

i was using another version before too but no good. i think its got something to do with the amount of time the cm15 sends the command, i believe ahp sends a longer command than when the cm15 just runs by itself (there is a new battery in there before you ask. think i may have to get an extension lead for the appliance and move the am12 to a closer socket as i dont think its a software issue.

Brian H

Well that would be a test that may show something.

burnsey

Just a thought, if due to long circuit runs or interface, would a one of them rf tranciever modules work with cm15a?

Brian H

The TM13 only receives RF signals like from a remote or motion sensor. It would not improve communications to the AM12 unless you where using a remote.

Did we try it in a different outlet and circuit as a test?

burnsey

ok tried am in different socket, no good, tried moving cm15 closer but that did nothing, tried setting a lm to the same code as the am and putting them side by side, guess what the lamp comes on but the am doesnt, (the appliance wont run from the lm though).

but the appliance module still works when i manually click on on ahp...

grrrr, thinking if i get one of the new x10 2 am with the rf aswell then maybe it will work?
