xc10a
« on: August 17, 2010, 07:58:49 PM »

back of xc10a has connectors for coax to tv and video and audio out to TV

removing cable going to tv from cable and connecting a cable from xc10a does not show anything coming from xc16a.

should I use a splitter so cable and xv10a coax go into TV.

and video and audio are going into AV1 connectors on back of TV and nothing showing on 3, 4 or AV1.

help.

xc10a is a camera. The vr31a is the receiver for it.

You should not have to connect both the RF coax and signal connectors to the TV. Since you have an AV1 input. I would use it over the RF coax connection.

If you power off the camera do you see any snow and have noise on the TV?

I tried again.  And it works.  I was using a universal transformer and connector was lose.  It works just fine now.

How about another question?

any chance it will work with a flat screen old Sylvania computer monitor.

No computer it was windows 98 and long gone.

I don't know if it would work.
Can you look at the monitor and see what connectors it has on it for video?
That may give us a clue.

I made a video and sent it to a company who may have what I need.  An RCA to VGA converter box.

Goolge search for Composite to VGA Video.
This is just a few I found:

Look at the ultra small

Look at the VD300

You may want to wait for their response.
I looked at at the web page and #4722 looks like the one.
RCA {Composite}; S-Video and VGA in to VGA out.

...Boy $108 sounds a little steep.....

How about $24 shipped?
http://cgi.ebay.com/DVD-PC-VGA-RCA-S-video-VGA-Monitor-Converter-Switch-/150443657045?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2307240755

I did a quick search and found this one on Ebay...  I'm sure there are more.

I bought below one from a seller not so far away as China and I got to pay CA state tax!

Thanks for getting back to me with the video, it was quite helpful. Since the camera will be into the video receiver and the outputs of the receiver are a coax output and Audio video outputs, what you can use is the RCA to VGA converter. Which would be PID# 4724 http://www.monoprice.com/products/search.asp?keyword=4724&x=0&y=0

From the output of the video receiver that has the RCA video outputs, go into this converter and from this converters output go VGA (D-sub) into the monitor. It comes with a all the cables to do this also.

That number they gave you is wrong.
That one takes VGA Video input signal from a computer and makes it into a Composite signal to the TV.

Look at the 4722. It takes a RCA composite and converts it to a VGA signal into the monitor.

I as able to stop shipping of 4724 this morning by calling.

then I received this.

You are absolutely right. As I did note in the previous email - you can use is the RCA to VGA converter.

You would in fact use convert the RCA to VGA, not VGA to RCA. We did have the right idea here, but I did provide the wrong PID by accident. This was actually a mistake on my end.It is actually PID# 4722 http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011407&p_id=4722&seq=1&format=2
Sorry about the confusion.

Price for 4722 is higher and they will not work with me for their mistake so I am going else were like to EBAY.
