Daily Camera Snapshot Macro Example Needed
« on: August 06, 2010, 08:38:40 PM »

I am new to writing macros.  I have AHP 3.271.  I have the I-Witness plug-in. I have the CM15A interface.

I have a single wireless XX20A nitewatch camera with wireless receiver and video adaptor to a USB port on my PC.

My objective is to have the camera turn on daily at 7am and take a snapshot of the front view of my house every hour until 4pm.  I think I should be using snapshots rather than autostill capture as I read the clarity is better for snapshots.

I expect I need to employ a timer to start the sequence each day.  Maybe I need conditions. Not sure.  The PC will be on all the time as I suspect due to collecting snapshots that will be saved to disk, the PC needs to be "always on".

For the sake of this example, we will say the power adaptor that powers the camera is coded as B8 in case we need to turn the camera on or off.

Can one of you long time experts show me how this can be accomplished using macros?  I would appreciate it.
