PalmPad Remote
« on: August 30, 2010, 08:12:03 AM »

I recently purchased the PalmPad, and I have to keep changing the house code on it for each unit I want to turn on/off.  Do you have to have the Firecracker interface for the PalmPad to work on all house codes individually? If anyone can explain what I need to do to solve this problem, I will greatly appreciate it.

Why are you using a different House Code for each unit?

I don't understand why you have to change the HOUSE code for each unit you want to control.
You should be using the same HOUSE code for up to 16 modules, with only the UNIT code being different for each one.
The PalmPad can control all 16 units on the same HOUSE code, without any additional "tricks."

Now, if you have more than 16 units, then you WILL have to use more than one HOUSE code. In that case, you can either use multiple PalmPad remotes (With the CM15A or Firecracker set to transmit/receive all of the codes you are using), or you can pick a different HOUSE code, and create macros, as per the link above.

Just an FYI - the ScanPad (CR12A) remotes work just the same as the PalmPad remotes, just the buttons are a different color. I use a few of those to supplement my PalmPads around the house.
