Integrating ActiveEye with Alarm System (CCTV DVR)
« on: October 26, 2010, 04:53:14 PM »

Hi all,

I have a CCTV DVR which has 4 alarm inputs which can be used to trigger recording. I am planning on using the X10 ActiveEye as a motion trigger.

Is there a plug-in wall module or board that has multiple alarm outputs which can be used with the ActiveEye?

The X10 Universal Module comes close, but it only has one output - therefore I'll need 4 of these units plugged in near my DVR and that's ugly. SimpleHomeNet's 4 Relay Controller (EZIO40) seems to be exactly what I want but it's 110.00?

Are there out solutions out there?

Well the WGL X10 Relay8 has 8 outputs but is even more costly than the EZIO40.

Since the ActiveEye can have its dusk dawn sensor turned off the unit codes 1-4 the EZIO4O could work if you don't find another solution.
