Micro Modules that suit my requirement
« on: November 29, 2010, 02:47:07 AM »

Hi,

I am trying to setup my hometheater room with some incandescent lights and some normal fans and light modules using X10.
I got confused with the user manuals and ordered a TWM4  B:( assuming that it is a micro module which can control four devices upon receiving X10 commands.
Can somebody suggest me a two-way or a one-way receiver micro module which can cater to my needs. It should be able to control atleast three switches in the switch board.
Is there anything I can do with the TWM4  ???

You are looking for a micromodule that has four outputs or did I read your needs incorrectly?
Are you using other X10 receivers on the lights and fans?
The TWM4 can have four push buttons or manual switches connected to it and send commands to other X10 modules when actuated.

Actually I want the opposite of TWM4. I want the micromodule to act upon when it receives commands from other transmitters and should have a manual control with the switch.

I did some searching and the most outputs I can find is two in a module.
One has two appliance style outputs and local control switch inputs.
One is a two output dimmer with neutral and local control switch inputs.
One is a two output two wire lamp. No neutral has local control switch inputs.

Well since we don't have Micro Modules or the CM15pro here. I can't say with 100% accuracy they will work.

The manuals for the modules indicate a standard X10 command can control them so the CM15pro should control them.

The only thing I could see as a problem would be if you wanted to add scenes to the Micro Modules. I think the address sequences to start scene programming maybe difficult to send from a CM15pro. You may need one of the controllers mentioned in the users manuals to get the command sequence to set it.
