Appliance Module AM466 outside
« on: December 12, 2010, 11:44:42 AM »

I am using a MT 13A Minitimer to control 5 Appliance 5odules for my landscape lighting (5 individual 120 to 12 volt transformers). 2 of the AM's are located outside plugged into receptacles with the plastic in-use covers. The x-10 product literature indicated they are for indoor use, I wonder what issues I will have with the 2 outdoor units? They will not be getting wet due to the in-use covers but they will be subjected to humidity and temperature swings. I figure that if I get a year out of them they will be cheap enough to replace. Any one with experience using them outside?

I have several outside and have no problems. Live in midwest, so have below zero to +95 temps and high humidity. As long as they don't get wet they run fine.
