Moved AHP to new PC - Security modules show install but work

I moved my AHP installation to a new computer. I installed AHP v3.305, SmartMacros, MyHouseOnline and OnAlert. Then I copied over my ahx file. Everything is running correctly except all my security modules show the install button. Like I need to install them. However, all my macros tied to the modules work. All modules show up correctly in the log and the security code is still in the ahx file.

So I tried to re-install the sensors but even though the sensor registers normally, when I close that window, the module still shows the install button. Do you think my ahx file is corrupted? I don't really feel like creating a new ahx file and starting over if there is something else I can do.

You may have a corrupted AHX file, do you have a backup you can try?
I don't have any experience with the security modules, but I still recommend installing the latest version (3.306).

Yes, I still have a backup on the old computer, but that is the computer that had problems. So I might have the same results. Though I might have an older backup from before that pc started having problems. Might try that. At least most of what I've done will be there. Less to recreate. I'll give it a try and post my results.

I was going to install 3.306 but just haven't got there yet.

No luck. Just restored a backup of my ahx file and all the security modules show the install button. Guess since it is working I could leave it be, but I'm sure the perfectionist in me won't be able to bear it for long. Guess I could install AHP on another computer temporarily so I can see what I have. Then reference that temp install while I reinstall AHP and recreate everything. I really do not have much so it shouldn't be a big deal. But that will probably be a weekend deal as I don't want to do it remotely from work.

I'm not familiar with the security modules, but what happens if you remove and re-add one of the modules in AHP. Does that correct the status in AHP?

Have not tried that. I think I will have to either delete or use a different trigger for my macros first. Don't think I can delete the module with a macro assigned. I will try that when I get home.

You should be able to. You can trigger a macro with a number of sources (PLC command, PalmPad, etc), that are not registered in AHP. (if this is different for the Security modules, then I apologize)

I found another backup of my ahx file and problem solved.

You really should have a backup of all .ahx files to a Zip or other media drive.  That way, your backups aren't on a hard disk on the PC. If the PC crashes, you are up the creek without a paddle.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

My backups are on a mirrored NAS
