« on: March 19, 2011, 10:24:04 PM »

Hi again, its me a newbie.
My first package I bought from x10.com included the socket rocket. Can some one please explain to me exactly how to program this thing. I looked up the how to guide and on number eight its says (With your remote, send the On command for the code you want to assign to the Socket Rocket) What the heck, on command for the code??? how do I give it a code like A-10?
Thanks

Search here for "programming a socket rocket".  It's here, you are not the first to ask this.

Let's says you have a TM751 somewhere.... and you use a PalmPad remote.

Screw your Socket Rocket into a lamp, and then screw in the bulb you intend to use in the SR. Now plug in the lamp into the same receptical (right next to) as the TM751. Using a PalmPad Remote set to the House Code you wish to use (the TM751 will need to be set to the same House Code) press the correct (number) button. Press the ON button 3 times within 30 seconds after plugging in the lamp. When the light comes ON... the SR is programmed. Your example (above) would be House Code "A", Unit number (button) "10".

You can then move the SocketRocket to where you wish to use it. It will retain its memory when unplugged.
