I installed the camera and all related software / hardware and the unit and house codes match throughout the system, but i get in the video a floating line problem weather I use the center image or the pan / tilt feature for scanning area. I THINK, my receiver is to far from the camera, as I have to reposition it to get an image. I live in an apartment building, which is commercial with a large electrical distribution system and it says to place the transceiver as far away from your computer as possible, which I have. Can I get a better image if I were to move the transceiver near to the camera? To do this, I must use extended RCA jack connected cables. I can build such a cable, say 50 feet or more, but what type of cable should I use for that length? When I did the initial set up, everything was in close proximity, but now when I use the hand held remote to turn and tilt the camera from the installed position, it does not work 100%, but it works perfectly when I am near the camera. I tried the different house code settings, such as matching A to A, B to B, etc, but the results are the same, poor picture quality. Another thing that is annoying is the web feature. It says to use internet explorer only and when I access the vanguard [
http://gate.x10.com ] and view my live recorded picture, there is only a test pattern, and I click onto setup / camera / my model, and the camera setting is correct, as well as the house code [ A ] but the unit code should be 2 and it shows as 1 and it will not let me change it while I am online and if I accept a feature to close the menu box, it crashes my internet explorer window, only to have my window re open, and all the saved features are gone...Is this a problem with using Windows 7 or should I used the compatibility feature in windows to run in XP or Vista? I would really like to duplicate one of the set up you members have, if you have my system, and tell me what house code and unit codes work the best for a single cam system using the computer interface hardware. One positive note: I got the free TV remote and it is awesome....All good configurations and suggestions are seriously welcomed..John
Oh! if any of you guys are technicians, I have teamviewer installed on my operating system and you can request access to my desktop to view my problem.
