ActivePhone Plug-in
« on: April 11, 2011, 10:54:24 AM »

I purchased ActivePhone but the reciept said ActiveHomePro and the incorrect registration code was issued.  I called tech support and they provided a code.  When I strart AHP the ActivePhone plug in does not display as registered.  When I go to Help -> registration it displays it as registered to X10 Preffered Customer.  I cannot get my phone to connect and believe that the app may be disabled.  I called X10 and they provided a personal code for ActivePhone.  In the registration screen you cannot change the code.  I completed an uninstall and deleted the AHP program folder after saving the data to another drive.  I then performed a new install and the programs, including plug-ins reinstalled as registered without requiring input of the registration keys.

Any ideas on how to change the registration code???

Couple of questions.
What OS are you running?
What version?

If running windows any version.
After complete uninstall download and install CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com) Run the cleaner then the registry tab and analyze then clean.
Reinstall the active phone and see if this works.

If not you will have to remove all registry entry's in regedit but this is a very vital file to windows and any mistake can cause major issues in windows if you are not familiar with it.

Thanks for the response.

I have a Win 7 OS.  I completed an uninstall as advised by X10's programmers.  The reinstall was normal.  ActivePhone still did not display as registered.

try plugging your activephone registration number into the activehome pro box (the main program).  This might be a glitch in the way the software is written, but it is how I installed mine and how I got it running.
