I bought a UM506 last year and just haven't been able to set aside the time required to take apart the garage opener and get inside the figure out the wiring.

Is it really as simple as pulling out a single wire from in there, cutting it and putting the UM506 between it? Then plug it in and I'm done?

Is your garage door opener controlled by a simple push button or a button on an intelligent wall mounted control unit?
