ActivePhone operation

I can't seem to find any clear instructions for this app.  Does my PC need to be running and connected to my CM15A at all times or does it run from the CM15A alone?  Using AHP 3.311 and Win XP.  IPhone 4 with 4.2 OS.

The computer needs to be running and connected to the cm15a. The program allows your phone to connect your computer and then forward commands thru ahp to the cm15, which then controls the devices.
