Interface time wrong
« on: April 22, 2011, 10:32:02 AM »

I purchased a CM19a and downloaded setup_ahp.exe.  I've set the city and the time zone is correct, but the interface time in the hardware config area won't update.  It is stuck at 1/1/1601 12:00am.
Windows 7 os.
I've uninstalled, then reinstalled the software, waiting until it asks for the usb to be plugged in, but same results with the clock.

I can send commands to a mini transceiver (tm751) via the desktop graphic interface and it receives them.  ie turns on/off a lamp module.

The CM19A has no storage or real time clock in it.
So I doubt you can set it to anything meaningful.
It also can not have any timers or macros downloaded into it.
Computer also has to be on for it to work.

The CM15A Interface can have things downloaded to it and has a clock function.

As far as I know, AHP must be running for the CM19A to work, as well. I'm pretty sure just having the PC on (without AHP running) won't do it.

I suggest you either contact X10 or check E-Bay for a CM15A.  The CM19A needs a transceiver (TM751 or RR501) to put RF signals (the only signal sent by the CM19A) to powerline signals to control modules.  The CM15A does both jobs.

Thanks all.  I returned the 19A and 751 and bought a 15a directly from X10.  $29 w free shipping and the registered software download.

Follow-up question.  The previous owner of this house had a 17kw Generac installed.  If, and I don't know yet, need a signal bridge, I should be able to install it on the main box like normal right?  The auto change-over to the generator has a completely separate panel with 16 more breakers and I'm just wondering if this will change the way I connect the bridge?

I would connect it in the main breaker box.
When on backup power X10 may not work.
