MS12a a/c mod

I'm trying to do the a/c mod. The directions say put the 10k on the left side, but the diagram shows it on the right side. Anyone know?

Physical board layouts and schematics can't be directly compared.
You will probably find the left side of the jumper wire is connected to the R10 and U1 pin 5 connection shown on the right side of the cut jumper in the schematic.

I would connect the 10K resistor where it is shown in the photo. Left physical side of the cut jumper.
