Is there anything made by X-10 or that will work with X-10 remotes, (like the HR12A), that you could attach to something like a TV/VCR remote and when you pushed the remote button it would beep and help you find the remote?  If it was small enough, you could attach it to eye glasses. Also another obvious use would be as a key ring.

There are other manufacturers of these type of finders, but the quality is suspect, and I'm also concerned about interference with the X-10 stuff I have.

Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

No.
Unless you want to strap an extension cord with a SC546 Chime plugged in to it, to the TV/VCR remote. 

X10 does not make any battery powered RF receivers, which is what you would need for this application.

Your best bet is a "remote finder" off Ebay.

Always a chance of interference but not too likely.

X10. In the US and Canada uses 310MHz for RF signals. So you may find specifications for the finder in question or if you have the FCC ID can be looked up in the database.

Also unless both where sending at the sametime. They should not interfere with each other. The finders signal protocol and X10s probably would not match. So turning on the finder should not make X10 devices go wacky.

X10 RF signals are not IDed, so that if someone makes the receiver, it has to be in the same house code, then assign a device ID for that finder.  In addition, that finder must receive all the time, so that it is not likely being powered by battery.
