or one year?  Seems like I read somewhere the system is warranted for a year.

I believe it is thirty days for Satisfaction Guarantee and standard one year warranty. Unless you bought the extended warranty for an added cost.

So on the possibility that the sensor lid was slightly convex, I put two (if that was the case I'm sure one would have been fine) pieces of duck tape on the + inside the lid.  I then used this sensor daisy chained for two windows.  Did not set/register the internal switch only the two external ones as a zone and it is working fine.  Perhaps there was something going on with the internal switch!
