Switching Between Cameras on Vanguard or Active Home Pro
« on: July 08, 2011, 10:17:48 AM »

My 4-camera system has developed a problem all of a sudden....

Yesterday everything was working just fine on both Vanguard and ActiveHome Pro, today I can not switch between camera views on either.  When I first bring up Vanguard (for example) if all the screens are fuzzy and I click on any number at the bottom it will not bring up that camera view.  However,  if one of the cameras detects motion it will still bring up that cameras view on the software.

The only two things I did yesterday was update my ActiveHome Pro to the new version and installed iTunes on my computer, would either of those affect anything?

If not, what could be wrong - bad TM751, bad PC transceiver?

Can't answer if the new software could be a problem. However, could you have a new electrical noise generator between the CM15A and the camera powersupplies preventing them from being turned on and off from the PC?  Switching power supply, aging CFL bulb, etc?

They recently updated AHP so the new 921MHz Pro cameras and older 2.4GHz cameras could be mixed. Using two VA12A adapters. One for each receiver. It could be possible there are still a few kinks in the software.
I did notice in the software update page. A Vanguard 3.316. That matches the AHP 3.316's version number. Do you know what version you have?

I have the latest version because I tried to delete all Vanguard software and reinstalled this morning.

Stranger yet...I have always used LogMeIn to access my home computer to view my cameras from work. Which is where I was having the problem this morning.  When I went home at lunch and clicked the cameras to view - it worked just fine from my home PC.  Could the new version of the software have something that is incompatible with remotely viewing your home computer? It seems like something is not making the connection when I try to control the Vanguard software from a remote PC.

It has always worked before...Any thoughts?

How can I go back to the old version?
