CM15A acting strange. Does someone have an answer.
« on: July 09, 2011, 04:53:42 PM »

I have been using AHP for about a year now with little problems. Every once in a while I'll get " there was a problem communicating with the interface" and i will have to download my macros and timers again. This only happened when i opened AHP.  No problem. As time went on i would get the error more and more. Multiple times when AHP starts. Sometimes I'll get 2 or 3 pop-up windows with the same error. Last month i was getting as many as 17 pop-up windows for the same error. I tried changing the batteries and running it without them. I got the same problem. This past week when i opened AHP i got the same error and AHP crashes. Today i tried using my spare CM19A and it loaded fine. This tells me that it is indeed the interface, but i couldn't use my onalertmoible. It wouldn't function with AHP. I checked out the CM15A and didn't see any obvious problems. I did noticed the legs on the plug were not sized different to prevent it from being plugged in the wrong way. I flipped it the other way and plugged it in. Now it's working fine again. Is this a sign that the CM15A interface is about to go out and why is it able to work like this?  Thanks in advance.

My $0.02

No flipping the CM15A over and having it "wake-up" does not indicate  it "is about to go out". If you plug it in the original way does it still work?

As a side note, when you removed the batteries to force a reset, did you also unplug the USB cable?
