It is true X10 only Manufacture in China has shutdown. and the only X10 systems and accessory are what is ether in suppler stock or in shipment to them after that runs out there will be no more X10 available. unless someone pick up the operation. But I think with other newer wireless systems with more capabilities like 32bit systems. I think anyone would be crazy to
try and buy the rights to manufacture such old technology. Pules start up cost. I have been in manufacturing for over 35 years and support two operations in China and more in other locations so I know what it would take and it's not going to happen unless someone is crazy as I said to many new systems out there. I sorry to see it go to i have been use it since 92.

I have the pro 2000 and have stocked up on spares. But am thinking of going to a console that operates on a different frequency. But will allow me to use same magnetic switches and just change the transmitters. But I wiil still need to replace all other transmitters. But that I will do over time I will tap into the pro 2000 and add a slave relay to give a input to my new system.

Wow, $249 with a wopping 4 sensors (I need 12), only 1 remote, and no home automation, or remote controlled lighting. What a deal.

SkyLink. That is the company that makes the Insteon Motion Sensor for Smarthome.

I also see there is now a SkyLink remote lighting kit on the X10 site. Guess they are almost out of other modules and going third party.  ???

The SkyLink remote lighting kit is NOT compatible with X10.

Skylink is RF only. Their security sensors use 318MHz but I don't know whether they use the same frequency for their lights. The website implies they use the same frequency.

Seems like prices are starting to spike at least on EBay, I'm thinking 20 percent in just a few weeks anyone else see this? Supply and demand I guess. Might have to buy a few things before prices become unreal and the supply dries up. Also wondering how x10 is going to handle warranties on prior orders.  ???

Good question on Warranty. Hopefully they kept a stock pile just for that purpose.
If you have not seen them yet.
I tested a few of the new Smarthome X10 only modules.
Note Smarthome keeps playing with the prices.
I think they jacked them up for their 20% Off Sale. Then lowered them again.  ???
All of the modules part numners start with an X10

Thanks I'll take a peek yeah I am really concerned about warranty I have quite a few extended warranty items some that need repair so I guess I better box them up and get them off before it's to late!! I would really hate to see Smarthome take over the entire market prices would just soar. Maybe X10 should have done what GM was forced to do and reorganize and  drop some of the junk items they were carrying and increase quality on what was remaining I really just think they were really producing to many items with obvious problems like the new line of cameras that have worst reception then the ones they replaced. Some of the stuff was really great through like the ability to flash all lighting when an alarm was set off nobody else regardless of the price is doing that to my knowledge.

Sales page says "Back In Stock"

As well as the SocketRockets! Maybe X10s demise was exaggerated.

or they got a money injection.

I wonder if they are still at the same factory.

I stocked up on Appliance Modules, thinking I would never get any more. I got little blue boxes stacked up all over the basement  :D

I keep my X10 stock in a heavy duty plastic box with a tight lid and just added 2 more LM15As to my stock.

Well, the original "article" that started all the commotion was admitted (by the author) to have been made up, so maybe they just had some manufacturing and distribution issues.
