I too was interested in some kind of bluetooth gps support since I have a couple of bluetooth gps receivers already.  When I saw that wasn't easy ot get going, I started writing a utility to share my droid GPS data with the tablet.  I was about halfway through when I got really smart and actually took a minute to look through the market place.  For $2.99 I bought TetherGPS and installed the server on my droid phone and the free light client on my Airpad.  Now I have point to point navigation on my airpad with full routing for $2.99 and no dongles.

I plan to use my phone as a hot spot anyway so this works perfect for me.

The settings menu sets up and configures the WiFi. There is also a configuration menu for ethernet. It shows that it can be enabled but that there is no device found. There is the option to include all the TCP/IP information to connect to a wired network. The question then is - Will there be released an ethernet device presumeable able to plug into the USB (Host) port??????

You are correct, the ethernet settings are for a wired ethernet USB device.  Right now we're focused on the tablet itself, and details about accessories will come later.  If any of our users wish to experiment with ethernet USB options, we encourage that too.

I have been playing with my Airpad. So far so good. EXCEPT not quite so sure about battery life-still playing around.

I was wondering about accessories.
Can you guys offer a good case, screen protector.

PS. Next Airpad:
Honeycomb
two cameras-(cant see what I'm aiming at to take the picture)
Longer battery life.
Hard/External Volume, and camera buttons.

I'd like to use the circle battery mod  from UOT kitchen
http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/

for 2.3.x you upload 2 files:
framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk

and it creates a .zip file to apply for the
patch. I'm unsure how one applies .zip
file's without clockworkmod recovery
to install them?   B:(

Does anyone know how to do this?

I am wondering if I can use the AirPad to replace some of my TV watching. Could I use the tablet to watch the news from this link:  http://video.foxbusiness.com/

Just tested this on my device and the video seems to work fine.
Hope this helps.

Helps greatly J.B. thanks for taking the time. I've heard that some tablets won't display... or play the videos that make up so much of the Internet now.

I don't watch much of what most people call TV. But I do often have a TV playing (like even now) when I am on line. I am considering switching my news watching to a tablet. Maybe even ditching basic cable altogether. Hulu and Netflex have a lot to offer as a replacement. But I do like the 24/7 news. I think tablets and smartphones may be the way to go.

Thanks again!

Where's the phone?   :'

And, I'll second noam's request for built-in (or even USB plug-in) RF though the WiFi connection may reduce the need.

I am unable to comment on plans and development, we are listening though.  >!

Go pick up the Skype software!!  You can call anywhere in the U.S. and Canada for free Skype-to-Skype, and for just a few cents you can call ANY phone land line.  I don't know about cell Phones, but probably smart-phones too.

Will my girlfriend be able to send me nude pictures that way?

Skype as phone: using Skype to Skype; of course you can talk with your girlfriend while she's nude!!  HA!  You can even SEE her, as long as she's willing.

Is the 7" AirPad OS upgradable to Android 2.3.4? If so, how is that accomplished?
