Where is the multiple video streams?
« on: November 12, 2011, 03:56:08 AM »

Hi everyone, new guy here.  I have successfully installed AHP on my windows WHS 2011 server.  I have added my first camera, which for the most part works but does seem to cut in and out off and on.  I have added the TM751 and can turn it off and on via the AHP program.  What i am unable to do is add the second, third and forth camera.  As soon as I plug in the second camera (Addressed as A2) it immediately knocks the other off air.  When I go to assign it, even though I I have both of them listed in their zones, I am only able to commit 1 camera to "Stream 1"  there is no ability to add a second stream, even with the check mark to enable multiple streams.  Also I am unable to turn Camera a1 off with the remote which according to the instructions is required to add another camera?  My remote is the newer one (CR14A) which I have my color camera setup on the pan n Tilt ninja.  Like I said it works and I can control it, moving it etc..BUT as soon as I plug in the XX20 camera, the color is knocked off the air.  Any ideas?

I am using the CM19A and VA12A

You do have the camera power supplies addressed properly?
Same House Code for all of them and in a group of four Unit Codes. 1-4,5-8,9-12 or 13-16.
When you turn one On all the rest in the same Unit Code Group should go Off.

The powers supplies are turned On and Off by power line signals. In your case a TM751.
Cameras default to On when powered up. So if you have power line signal issues. You may not be able to control that camera.
Turning On the A2 camera should turn off A1,A3 and A4 ones.

Jeff's tutorials are a good place to find information.

Hi Brian,

thanks for the quick reply.  I've been searching and reading and am confused.  As I understand it I should be able to address each camera as in A1, A2, A3, A4 and I should be able to switch between them.  Right now I have 2 camera's (A1 color camera) and (A2 Black and White Camera)  As soon as I plug in A2, A1 disappears and the video feed (stream 1 as there is no stream 2) shows up as only the Black and White Camera (A2).  Are you saying I need to place camera 2 as (A5), Camera 3 as A9 etc?

Sorry if I was confusing.
All the cameras should be in the same group of four. A1,A2,A3 and A4.
When you powered up A2. By default it is On and with camera A1 also On. A2 is probably overriding A1.
Sending an A2 On should automatically turn Off A1,A3 and A4.
If the A1 camera is not turning Off. It is not seeing the power line command for A2 On.
If you use the remote to turn On A2. Does camera A1 still interfere?
If you use the remote to turn A1 On; A2 should go Off.

The knowledgebase has a few areas that may assist you.
Here is the main cameras page.
