« on: November 12, 2011, 06:35:21 AM »

last ebay dealer from a week ago said he was going to ship me a replacement; then sent that he was out of them and would do refund.

I see no sc12 or sc1200 for sale on ebay any more...

Sorry to read that, but I kind of expected it was on its way out.

Well considering all the problems folks were having I'm not really surprised. Hopefully they will fix the bugs and reintroduce it.  :'

Since these were originally sold under the Radio Shack name at least 7 years ago, you'd think they would have already worked the bugs out...a long time ago.

methinks the only real issue with it is the poor range, and simply pulling the antenna wire out of the case and let it stick up straight seemed to get back to same decent range as its predecessor.  The added benefits of being able to remove a single zone or put in a specific zone and non volatile memory make it a good improvement over the DS7000 in my book.  Only other issue I recall hearing is some folks had models that made creepy background noise sometimes;  my 4 have not done this.

Hmm seems like I heard a lot more for sure the problem with the intermittent Powerhorns they would trip for a few seconds and the shut down and repeat that sequence, that's a real bummer   B:(   :P

Yes the PH508 Large Powerhorns where a problem. Depending on Date Code. Where firmware and hardware revisions where done.
Some sounded intermittently and some actually sounded one time when the SC1200 was armed.  B:(
