Checked with support.  They do not recommend outdoor use.  Does not work with inclement weather (not waterproof) and has not been tested properly at various temperature ranges.  My guess, you will get fogging in higher temp + humidity as they are not the most expensive lenses and at lower than 0, may cause crystals inside and damage inner workings.

I installed on IE and had absolutely no difficulty in using dynamic as opposed to static addressing.  Just make sure camera is up and running, picture is clear with Cat 5 cable attached and when ready, disconnect Cat 5.  Don't forget that its going to cycle and will take a minute before the IP reappears in the tool and the camera comes back online.

Has anybody figured out how or what app to use on an Android to connect to this thing and how to get to the camera remotely?  The instructions are absolutely useless here.

You can get a genuine Foscam Fi8918 for alot less than the air(head)sight!
Has all the same features as the X10.

Y'know... I don't have either cam yet, but I noticed that the Foscam doesn't come with a mount worth anything. Apparently, the Foscam, based on Amazon reviews, isn't really worth much... software is pretty bad and the mount is worthless. I guess you get what you pay for.

I believe you are reading the reviews for the 8905.... THAT camera comes with a lousy mount, it can hardly hold the camera.
The 8918 comes with a mount that is pretty good.
