Has anyone modified DOOR/WINDOW module for another purpose?

I have no idea how ADT programmed the panel and what auxiliary outputs they use if any.

If an auxiliary output can be used on the ADT console. I don't have the ability to say how to do it and you may need a secret ADT master password to change things.

Yes I meant get an external 12 volt relay.
The ELK 912 has a nice easy to use terminal block on it and a protective diode for the consoles protection.

ELK 912:                     ADT Console:
+ Power terminal           Bell +
- Power terminal           Bell -

NC terminal to one of the DS12A switch connection.
COM terminal to the other DS12A switch connection.

Brian,

Thanks ... I ordered a couple and will get back to you if I have any issues. Thanks again for your help.

Brian,

OK ... I got my relays yesterday and tested one out by connecting it to the 12 volt battery from my ADT system (which I had removed) and it works great. When I disconnect the 12 volts battery it trips my modified DOOR/WINDOW module and sets off the SecuriLink alarm system.

Now ... I have to figure out where I can get 12 volts current off of the ADT system that stops when an alarm event happens. Any suggestions where I should look? Can you tell by the pictures I included before, which terminals might give me what I seek?

Regards,
Bob

Use the NC contact on the relay {closed with no 12 volts applied}. You want the relay to Open when the 12 volts is applied and trigger the DS12A.
That way when 12 volts from the BELL output goes On. The NC contact of the relay opens and the DS12A triggers.

I saw no 12 volt outputs on your ADT board that dropped 12 volts when an alarm is triggered.

Woo Hoo Thank you so much Brian! That did the trick and my wife said "Damn that is loud and should scare any intruder away".
