I am having diffucltilties navigating myself to the actual Securilink manuals. Can anyone confirm that the system will chime when a door or window is opened?  Further to that, can a longer chime or "mini alarm" sound when say, a door to the pool yard is opened?  With three toddlers; it is a big concern.  Thanks for any reponses.

Yes it can chime when a sensor is opened and the console is not armed.
Page 26 of the Users Manual.
Menu 7 Options.
Chime On or Off. This is an overall setting. All sensors will sound the chime if On or none will chime if Off.

No you can not change the chime timing or directly trigger a mini alarm from the console. With a open zone unless the console was armed and then it would be sounding a violation of a zone.

Maybe you could use a powerflasher triggered by the pool yard door opening a magnetic switch and it sends the sequence of X10 signals to trigger a powerhorn siren. Though a alarm made specifically for protecting children from a pool area maybe another option.

The chime is annoying and even though you can opt to turn the chime off ... it is never completely off for example ... when you set the alarm for away it chimes for 30 seconds. Is there a way to disable that?

I have never seen anything on disabling the audio arm and disarm events.
