The Simplified Manual does not explain anything about downloading app from the via Google Apps Store. The sales info shows facebook, skype, and other apps that were not native. After locating general Android Apps techniques, the x10 Air pad or the firmware version is incompatible with the application download process. I was told to reset the unit... that did nothing. Any other ideas?

you should have access to the amazon apps. google play is not stock but there r several ways to get it installed. search these forums for the info that apply's to your tablet.

Non of the airpads come with google play installed.(licencing issue)
You'll need to enable installing from unknown sources in application settings
You need to either use another site (like amazon) to get apps/install a different rom or install google play.
There are links on my site to help install google market/play on a 7 inch Airpad (link to my site is in my tagline)
If you indeed have the original airpad 7 there also is a thread (on my site) to install a older rom with google market on it.

You mentioned there are links on your site. I would be more than happy to checkout the links but I don't know how to get to "your site"

Thanks for the info! Sid

Well I got an app from Amazon and learned the Airpad isn't compatible with Google Play.  Really bad news as I bought this thing to use GoPayment which isn't on the Amazon app listing. Of course it is on Google Play  B:(

The airpad is compatible with google play.
It is just missing Apps to make it work.
Google reads info on your device and decides if the app your trying to down load will work.
I'm sure some other sites do this as well.
This doesn't mean the app won't work on your device. However the site won't let you download it to you droid device to even try. B:(
