try powering off, hitting reset then do the vol- and pwr thing.

ended up using the UpdateMe app to install CWM and now it reboots into recovery mode. One question: how long does the backup take? It's gotten so far and then just stops after nearly an hour.

One other thing regarding the combined bar - I'm running CM9 and it doesn't seem to hide when an app requests full screen.

Where are you backing up to? Are you running out of space? You should only back up to the EXTSD. If you've tries several times you may have to do some deleting of files. NAND back ups create several files. Some might be complete without the whole process complete and you might have to delete them. A general rule of thumb is to have twice the storage available as what you are backing up.

But even when I had Bluetooth totally turned off it still ran the battery down faster then 0331 and still has the auto shutdown issue where it won't shutdown the tablet when the battery gets below 5 percent or even 2 percent charge left and will just abruptly cut off when the battery totally discharges or gets to a voltage level to low to power the tablet.

I went back to 0331 and the battery performance is much better even with Bluetooth on and transferring files via Bluetooth.

Use the Llama app over here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kebab.Llama&hl=en to shutdown your tablet when it reaches a low battery condition.

The only thing you DO NOT NEED to DL is the CynogenMod rom... (the second DL)
DL everything else unless you already have it.
