We need a little more information to properly diagnose the issue.
Have you recently changed any electronics in your home (new TV, computer, cell phone charger, etc)?
Have you recently replaced any light bulbs with CFL or LED bulbs?
Have you updated your AHP software? (what version are you running right now)?
Does the light switch work if you turn it on from within the AHP software?
Does it work if you use a remote (wired or wireless)?

Sorry, that was a terribly worded question. the switch will not work with a wired or wireless remote control. I have no software. This problem started years ago and I don't know if it was after I added new tvs, computers, phone chargers etc. Also I have several lamp modules that work intermittently with the two remotes, some work all the time(i.e.go on and off and can be dimmed) and some never work. All in the same room but some on different circuits. at first the ws467-c always worked.

Thanks for the added information.
It does sound like you have power line signal issues.
Do you have any power line phase coupler or coupler-repeater, between the two incoming power lines from the street?
X10 signal have a hard time getting from one phase of the home to the other.

You may want to try selectively unplugging electronic devices to see if things improve.

Here are a few links to X10 signal troubleshooting and general automation information.

I was having a whole lot of issues with X-10. I have not solved all of them yet, but I have solved several of them and I see light at the end of the tunnel. I have received a great deal of assistance from Jeff Volp. In my mind, he is "Mr. X10." I purchased an XTB-IIR coupler/Repeater/Transmit Booster and installed it right next to my electrical panel in the garage. I also purchased a meter from him that helped me track down the biggest X10 signal sucker/problem in my house...my HP OfficeJet 4500 printer. When it was plugged in, X10 just did not work because the signal was so attenuated. The solution for that was the XTB-F10 Filter. I isolated that printer with one of those filters and I also isolated my entertainment system in the front room  which was also attenuating the X10 signals.
I do not totally understand all of this yet but I have learned alot in the last 2 or so weeks. And I give the credit to Jeff. He has patiently answered my questions and offered suggestions on how best to proceed. And his sproducts are top-notch.
I was going to totally dump my X10 gear and give Z-Wave a try but because of Jeff Volp, I will stick with X10 although I suspect my home might morph into a hybrid X10/Z-Wave system. Give Jeff a holler and see if he can help you as well.
