Can access to modules be restricted by user?
« on: March 22, 2013, 06:41:26 PM »

For instance if I send an invite to my wife's cellphone, I am asking for a world of trouble letting her get at all the modules.   So ideally I would like her just to see a few modules that couldnt cause much harm.  Maybe a few lights or something.

So is there any way to show a subset of all the modules or a workaround maybe?

If you look into PCC (www.tuicemen.com)  it has a free android app that can be used with the full version that will allow you to setup each phone separately for devices you want to trigger.  Of course they would need to be an android device but that's how I do it

Thanks Ken for the tip.  Unfortunately I am on IOS.  Will have a looksee around tuicemen.com to see what other goodies there are.    The funny thing is MyHouseOnline has had this capability of restricting room access by user forever it seems.   It would be a perfect marriage to combine the 2  systems.

Unfortunately I am on IOS.
Did you look at "Xtension"? I am not sure if it can or not. I have not used it in 15 years. It uses scripts so you might be able to restrict modules through password/login.

Hmmm.... Sounds like that might work to restrict modules right in the AHP UI.   However seems like a longshot that it could interact with activephone since it does not require a user id
