Flourescent Light Problem Fixed with Extension Cord
« on: May 01, 2013, 11:01:52 AM »

Hi, I was unable to control an appliance module controlled fluorescent shop light (used as grow-lux lights).  The 5 ft cord was plugged directly into the appliance module. The module would not work when the lights were plugged in due to noise interference from the lights.  The problem was fixed by plugging the lights into a 25 ft outdoor 3-prong extension cord which connected to the module.  The extension cord apparently filters out the noise...

Attenuates it to the point of usability. Probably also has to do with signal peaks, nulls, and wavelengths but that is another subject. Now what are you going to do when you need to weed eat the flower bed?  rofl
