It also doesn't state that they are compatible. In the future if you're not sure about something like this you should ask someone, any forumgoer or X10 representative could have given you that information.

You may find answers in x10 knowledge base
http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/Main_Page

now my 2 cents

Personally, i would never expect a customer service rep to know every single detail of the 100's of products a company might sell.
They wouldn't be a Tech Person.

To assume something should work when it clearly doesn't say it does... or doesn't that age old saying ... BUYER B AWARE yea yea i know its Buyer beware.

now i ll call Time Warner customer service an ask why they keep upping their prices.

I have to agree with the others; since it's not stated it wasn't compatible, why would you assume is was  ??

Defies logic.

Would you buy any ol' alternator off the shelf and assume it will fit your car simply because it doesn't say otherwise ?

It is possible to trigger camera events with AHP and even open a viewing window for IP cameras.
However iwatch isn't meant for IP Cameras and isn't needed to do the above.
Perhaps x10 will get some new programmers onboard to expand on the iwatch plugin for AHP.

To trigger camera events and open a viewing window for your IP camera you need the Smartmacro plugin.

Viewing is easy, just trip a windows command that opens the IP cam software.
I haven't played with the X10 IP cam Software but if it can be used via a command line you may also be able to trip other events.
Also look at AutoHotkey you could use this with a windows command to perform camera events with a script

You'll need to discover http calls made to the IP camera to tell the camera tasks directly
WireShark can be used for this unless support will provide you with that info.
I don't believe there is an API or SDK for the cameras released yet.

Note: AutoHotKey and WireShark are free downloads.

Performing Tasks triggered from an IP camera event is a little more difficult but can be done using something to watch your email inbox and triggering an event from it.
PC Companion can do that as well as the other stuff.

Since I started to move towards IP cameras.
I started to dig into this a little more.
Foscam has SDKs for their cameras and the code works with the Airsights. :)%
I had already added viewing and controls for IP cams to PC Companion.
However there are some things AHP can do that the SDK can't ( reliably ) and that is handle security codes.
I have AHP turning my IP cameras to presets and taking snapshots, viewing just isn't possible yet.
It triggers the cameras to turn on a security received signals (in my case door sensors)
It seems a WDM driver for IP cams would be needed for AHP to view with iWatchout.
For now the Smart Macro plugin can be used to trip a program to pop up a view of the required camera.
