New to X10

Frustration, I tried X10 several years ago never got anything to work.  Now in a new home and thought I would try again, same results.  Nothing works, can't even turn a simple light on and off.  Unless someone can suggest some trouble shooting I will do what I did last time.  Delete the software and throw everything in the trash. 
Transceiver module TM751 is plugged in and can turn the attach light on and off via the switch
Firecracker CM19A plugged in and according to the wizzard operational
have one wall/dimmer module installed set to A2
Activity monitor shows transmitting on/off

What software are you using?
AHP maybe? As you mentioned an Activity Monitor.

Do you have any phase coupling between the homes phases?

Common problems are electronic devices that make power line noise or absorb signals {Signal Suckers}.
