I have tried to do that through windows and through the router also.
I must be doing something wrong.
I tried port forwarding through airport utility and it didn't seem to work.
It tells me cannot open page because the server stopped responding.

I can get it on my network but not outside of it.
Have you set up port forwarding through your router?

ALSO: To view outside your nextwork you need to use the cameras DDNS address ( NOT THE CAMERAS IP ADDRESS YOU USE AT HOME)

You can find the DDNS under the system tab: then look for DDNS Status and you should see something similar to this:
airsight.net  Succeed  http://zxxx.airsight.net:portnumber
or you can look on the camera bottom if its not already mounted

Yes sir. I understand that. I guess I should get ahold of apple as I have a Netgear modem/router and the apple time machine.
Port mapping is enabled in the time machine but any time I try using the ddns address it gives me the same as above.
I even tried reserving a mac address and entering that as the camera with no luck.

Thanks for the reply.

The ip address isn't on the bottom right? You get that once it is hooked up with the cable.
I keep seeing an ip address for the cameras on here that starts with a 192.???.??.???
Mine start with 10.0.1.???

I do get the succeed d????.airsight.net

I think you re trying on a apple product you mention.

Ask someone to try your ddns on a android phone. If it works outside your network on android.. then it may be worms in your apple.

Yes I am using a time capsule for the router and I believe the netgear is in bridge mode.
When I run a test for open ports it does not show the ports to be open.

After a month of attempting almost everything under the sun to get my second of two IP cams ( XX34 and XX40) accessible from outside my home network, I stumbled across your excellently written step-by-step guide here---and voila!--up 'n running in no time flat!  Fortunately, my third Airsight IP cam (XX42) arrived yesterday and, after pulling up this guide again, had it online with the others in 12 minutes flat!!  Youve described procedural steps and details here that I had not come across elsewhere that made all the difference!  X10 should have YOU write its owner/operator manuals!!
