Is the free airsight.net DDNS service coming back?

Since the new Airsights are made by a different manufacture the DDNS may be different

I am hoping that since they are stilling going to be called Airsight, that the DDNS might still be called Airsight.net.

I just received a reply to this and it isn't good news.

I can tell you that the old DDNS server is no longer available because when we tried to access them we found out the provider had erased the information due to non-payment.

The new Cameras are suppose to have the ability to select the users preferred DNNS but I'm waiting confirmation on that.
I've also requested to see if the old cameras can use the firmware for the new cameras.
If this is possible then the DNNS issue won't be a issue.

I never purchased any of the "airsight" or similar type cameras. But I've been searching the web a bit.... and it looks like people are working this issue. ispy connect is one.

The "firmware" appears to just be a tiny little redirect JavaScript. Am I wrong?

they also allow connection to no-ip a free DNNS service.

Ispy is a viewing/capture software it isn't a solution for those unable to have a constant IP which a DNNS works around.
I've never looked into the firmware files or the web UI files, both work together for connections.
Since my programing skills are limited I also don't plan on looking into it.
I have thought about writing a small app that would email users when their IP changed however that would require a PC running 24/7 which many don't wish to use.

The problem with the "old" Airsight cameras, is that they allowed to you select between Airsight.net and just a few other "free" DDNS services.   The problem is that airsight.net has gone away, and the remaining "free" DDNS servers offered, are not free anymore.

If Airsight.net can not be resurrected, it would be nice if there was a firmware update that at least updated the list of DDNS servers.

I can't agree more.
I have still not heard anything on a possible firmware upgrade or if the firmware for the new cameras will be compatible.
Users have discovered firmware for other brands are compatible.
I believe there is a post here but I'm unsure which manufacture it was now.
A search may turn up the post.
