Before I start eng-ga-near'n I thought I'd ask.  I want an EagleEye at my front door as an auto doorbell.  If I put it on the right side the bushes on the left move in the wind and ding-dong-ding-dong-ding..... If I put it on the left side it sees through the screen door and triggers any time we go up and down the stairs - inside.  If I point it straight out - it starts "Counting cars" on the street.  So, I'm thinking a ?dog food? can with both ends cut out to give it "tunnel vision".  Has anyone else been down this road?  Your solution?

Mine is mounted to the porch post and faces the door.  I use Dispatcher for the "Ding Dong" as it will limit the sounds in a given period of time. PCC will do the same.  I also have a physical doorbell button connected to a powerflash for a traditional doorbell, however, we change that chime seasonally.  The motion sensor kinda lets me know someone is at the door before they are there, or in the case of my house, neighbors never knock, they just walk on in.

Some users have put some strips of tape on them to limit the field of view.

I mounted mine on the ceiling of the porch facing down. This kept the sunlight from triggering it sometimes.
