For the outdoor XX52A, approximately what is the dimension of the area the camera covers? Approx how many square feet? Thanks.

That would depend on camera positioning.
images always help for reference, this is why I posted them in the review : Airsight XX52A (outdoor camera)
The first image posted there the camera is 14ft off the ground  the distance seen from side to side is about 60ft in the center of the screen, that is about 40ft from the camera.

The image at post #7 ( http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=28797.0 ) has the camera mounted 8ft off the deck and 12ft from the 6ft sliding door.

So if the front wall of my house is 15 meters, 1 camera should be able to cover the entire length of the wall so I see who is below the wall on the street?

It really depends on where the camera is mounted as it is a fixed camera.
You may be better off with the XX60A as it is a Pan &Tilt Zoom capable camera and is capable of viewing the area it would take 3 or 4 cameras to do.

The PTZ feature is well worth the extra price in my opinion.

The zoom feature may be needed for you to identify exactly who is in view.
It is possible to auto move the camera to a pre-set with a x10 motion sensor and AHP as well.

The XX60A is located at my off grid place in the country.
The XX52A is now mounted at my city place but was in the country for testing. I figured I could get a better idea of coverage and performance for a review by initially setting it up there.
Also I wouldn't have anyone complaining about the direction it was pointed in for tests in the country.

Has it ever been good? If it worked well at one time, maybe the IR emitters are not working. Most home video cameras are sensitive to IR so if you have a video movie camera point it at the front of the XX52,  you should see them glowing on your video camera screen.

If it has never worked well, there isn't much you can do other than increasing the brightness through the camera software.   The IR emitters really do not put out much light.

The IR emitters are only good for so far when I tested the camera at my off grid place I got no pic at night  as I had it aimed for a long distance.
Mounting it in the city I get a good night time pic( at least good enough for me)

Authinx state its IR light is good for low light not no light or for night vision.
You don't state the distance you wish to view and if it is a distance issue or just brightness.
There are ways to improve its night time distance and brightness.
Simply adding extra IR lights may be the way to go the more lights the greater the distance.
