sc1200 dialing out

Just purchased a new sc1200, and setup everything but found that the dialer does not call me when the alarm goes off, i have checked the line with another phone and its working fine, replacing the ps561, that called the numbers fine, any advise

Regular old fashioned copper phone line or one of the VOIP types like cable phone service?

I guess I'll have to send it back, thanks for the advise but i think the problem is in the box, also i noticed that the range for sensors is pretty bad, having problems with a sensor on 2nd story.

The SC1200 does not have a long RF range. The PS561 with its external antenna has a longer range.
Its antenna is wrapped around the inside of the case. We even have instruction in a thread here. On adding an external one.
