Please Catch Me Up on CM15A and ActiveHome Pro
« on: November 18, 2015, 12:40:15 PM »

Two Lazy Questions:

1) Is the CM15A that is currently available from X10 functionally identical with the ones made before it was withdrawn from market?

2) Is there finally a version of ActiveHome Pro software that will run without the registration catch-22?  If so, what is the best source?

Please forgive my asking for quick answers instead of searching and studying the posts in depth.  In December, 2012, I purchased one of the early re-manufactured CM15As (which works OK) and then ran into the problem that my copy of ActiveHome Pro would no longer work.  Thankfully Tuicemen (I think) had by then made available a hack that allowed some available version to run without registering -- I forget the details.  Now I need another CM15A and was hoping there was a better way to get ActiveHome Pro up and running with it under Windows 7 Pro SP1.

Yes internals may have changed from the one you have but they are the same.

Thanks, Tuicemen -- I'll see what I can cobble together.  Unfortunately I no longer have any machine with a registered version. -- jclarkw

Ops!  I failed to mention I have Win7 Pro 64bit, and reading the thread at http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=28994.msg162407#msg162407 seems to imply that isn't completely covered yet.  Has the version of AHP Lifejacket (1.0.1.3 that I just downloaded) from your post of December 08, 2014, been updated yet to fix this?  Or do I still have to run the registry hack in your post of October 25, 2015? -- jclarkw
the registry edit was only for users that had their own x10prod.sys file, and the active phone plugin.
That has been fixed however that wouldn't have affected you.
Using the default files you'll get AHP, smart macros, onalert and myhouse online registered.
the myhouse online server still isn't available and most likely will not be for some time.
