I have one of those WeMos D1 units (probably a clone actually) on a slow boat right now as well as a NodeMCU board.  They sounded fun, so I ordered them a couple weeks ago to play with.  As cheap as they are, if there's a way to improve X10 with them, that would be great!

Pico developed the PIC, and spun off the PIC business to Microchip in 1989.

And, 26 years later, Microchip is swallowing Atmel, another major maker of microcontrollers.
